• Start tier: explicitly for startups not yet backed by equity funding - up to $2,000
• Scale tier: requires startup equity funding - up to $100,000 in year one plus up to $100,000 in year two
• AI startups: up to $350,000 in cloud cost coverage
• Founded within 5 years of applying, or 10 years for Scale
• Google Cloud account with a Billing ID, a public company website, and email on that same domain

What to know

Corrected 2026-09-19: an earlier check of cloud.google.com/startup hit a login wall, so this was marked unverified. The public page at startup.google.com/cloud publishes everything. The important find is the Start tier - $2,000 for founders with no investor at all, which almost no directory lists. No VC referral is required to apply.
